Who We Are
The name of the site comes from one of my favorite songs, "Power To Believe" by the Dream Academy. The last lines of the song are:
And When The Lies Are Spoken
Give Endurance To The Weak
And When The Heart Of Man Is Broken
Give The Power To Believe
I think that sentiment captures what I hope this site will accomplish.
This site allows children and teens to stay connected with their friends while they are in hospitals or at home with chronic, life threatening, serious, or terminal conditions. We are signing up new members. Just keep in mind, there still may be a little dust settling on the finishing touches. Feel free to offer suggestions.
Sign up for this free service that allows young people and their families and friends to keep in touch. You can use message boards (for patient and family updates) and guest books (for comments and encouragement from friends). We will also feature pictures so everyone can still feel close when they can't always be. There will be email lists so that everyone can be updated at one time. Other ideas being considered include chat rooms to chat live. If you have an idea to help children and their friends stay connected through the internet, let us know.
